Last night I heard on the weather report that it is supposed to be really stormy this afternoon, maybe even severe thunderstorms. I decided that I needed to complete the edge mowing today, because the rain and storms are supposed to continue until next Tuesday. By then the lawn would be knee-high, and a pain to mow. I put off planting today to get that done and use the grass that I mowed as mulch in the front entry garden.
In the afternoon I spent some time creating a makeshift photo booth for small items. I took a bunch of pictures and edited them so that I have them to go with upcoming blog posts. Unfortunately, I can tell I still don’t have it right, because I had to do a lot of brightening to get the photo looking decent. I’ll keep working on it until my site is filled with professional-looking photos. At least what I got looks better than what I’ve been using, so that’s a step in the right direction.
The rain didn’t amount to much. It came through fast and furious for about five minutes and then moved on. Needless to say, I’m hoping rain tomorrow is more abundant so that I don’t have to start watering again.
I think I’ve come up with a way to put something up in the closet in my studio so that I can hook bags and backpacks on it. I’m going to take a look at Lowe’s Home Improvement when I get off work on Saturday and if it looks like it will work I’m going to buy what I need and get the stuff up. I’m tired of all the bags and backpacks setting on the floor in the studio. It’s not that big!
