I just checked and my site is over a year old now! My how time flies. I still have so much to do before I can officially launch it. I’m planning on taking the month of January off from my job. During that month I hope to not only take time to rest and rejuvenate, but also to get my site completed. That seems like a long time from now but I know with the holidays coming I don’t want to try and set a deadline I won’t be able to keep. Work will be hectic, I make most of my presents, and there is all the holiday fun. I think January will be a great time for me to complete the site.
I had great fun today! I finished up the embroidery for my big Halloween wreath AND I decorated the rest of the house. I love decorating, even if my decorations are kinda cheap. I’m trying to rectify this by making new decorations. Last year I got rid of a lot of Halloween and Fall decorations that I’d had for over 20 years. They were pretty worn and many of them were from the dollar store.
In the late afternoon I rushed out to harvest the last of the basil. They were saying temps could go as low as 40 in town. That means it could get much lower here and basil is notoriously cold sensitive. I didn’t want to wake up to a whole bunch of black, slimy basil.
In the evening I finally pulled the cross-stitch piece out and started back into it. I don’t know why I let it sit there for extended periods of time. I enjoy working on it so much. I think part of it might be that I’ve gotten into the habit of watching TV with my husband in the evening and doing both at the same time is a bit hard. I have to wear my long distance glasses for the TV and magnifying glasses for the cross-stitch. I really look ridiculous but I have found a way to balance one pair on top of the other so that I can do both at the same time, lol.
